Jacksonville Chinese Association (JCA), a leading non-profit 501(c)(3) culture organization among North Florida's Asian American communities, has been actively participating in many multi-cultural activities and community services since 1996. On behalf of JCA, I would like to invite you, your family and your organization to join us in celebrating the Year of Tiger, and sponsor “2010 North Florida Lunar New Year Gala Celebration”, on Friday, February 26th 2010 7:30pm at the Lazzara Performing Art Theater of University of North Florida (UNF) in Jacksonville, Florida

As you may know, of all the traditional Asian and Chinese festivals, the Lunar New Year is perhaps the most elaborate, colorful, and important. This is a time for the Chinese all over the world to congratulate each other and themselves on having passed through another fruitful and successful year, a time to finish out the old, and to welcome in the New Year. Chinese New Year is also celebrated in countries and regions include Bhutanese, Koreans, Mongolians, Nepalese, Okinawans, Vietnamese, and formerly the Japanese before 1873, as well as celebrated in countries with significant Han Chinese populations, such as Singapore, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand

This year, we are honored to successfully invite a top-level performing art troupe, including many award-winning and accomplished first-class artists from China, to join us in Jacksonville, to celebrate the most important traditional Lunar New Year festival, to mingle with our friends and family members and to usher in the New Year with laughter, delightful songs, dances, acrobatics, magics and other forms of the traditional Chinese performing arts
