JAAA 2010 COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Program Overview:

The Jacksonville Asian American Alliance (JAAA) College Scholarship Program recognizes academic excellence and community involvement among high school seniors planning to pursue a traditional baccalaureate degree at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States in 2010. This year, the Program will choose four scholars who will be awarded $500 each towards college costs. Asians and non-Asians are eligible to apply.

Eligibility:

1. Must be a resident of Duval, Clay, Nassau, Baker, and St. Johns Counties for at least a year.
2. Must be accepted at a four-year college or university.
3. GPA of 3.5 or higher.
4. Must have outstanding record of community service.

Requirements:

1. Complete and submit Application Form.
2. Submit letter of acceptance to a four-year college or university.
3. Submit a letter of recommendation from a person who is familiar with applicant’s character and achievement

Deadline for Submitting Applications:

March 1, 2010 (must be postmarked by 3/1/10 to be considered)
