On Saturday, September 23, 2006, the Jacksonville Asian American Alliance and the Multi-Cultural Network co-hosted an Asian Food Experience Dinner featuring Chinese Dim Sum held at King on Beach Blvd.
Eight (80) guests representing 22 countries attended this specially prepared dinner which included:
- Peking duck
- stir fried rice noodle
- rice noodle roll with shrimp
- crabmeat ball
- steamed pork dumpling (Siu Mai)
- steamed shrimp dumpling (Har Gar)
- pan fried Chinese chives and meat
- steamed sticky rice chicken wrapped in lotus leaf
- pan friend turnip cake
- steamed spare ribs in black bean sauce
- steamed sweet red bean bun and,
- sweet egg custard.
In addition to great cuisine, guests learned the history of Dim Sum and how to use chopsticks. View photographs.

On Thursday, August 31, 2006, JAAA Directors experienced a taste of Brazil at Cuba Libra/Havanna Jax hosted by the Multi-Cultural Network (MCN).
Brazil Night is part of MCN's dinner series featuring different international cuisine. The evening included "meet and greet" and a performance by a Samba dancer.


Twelve JAAA members joined a Russian Banquet hosted by the Multi-Cultural Network at World Deli in St. Augustine Road on July 27, 2006. JAAA and Multi-Cultural Network discussed future cultural gathering featuring Asian gourmet.
The Multi-Cultural Network provides a forum to bring people together in building relationships across our diverse local and world community, providing membership with cultural education and social network opportunities.
Valdimir Lozovsky is the Founder of the Multi-Cultural Network. An immigrant from Russia, Vladimir saw the need for an organization where people who are culturally diverse could come together to share cultural experiences and develop mutually beneficial reationships.
