  • On August 3-5, 2006, Directors and members of JAAA worked with IVCJ in welcoming Ms. Nana Homma from Japan. Several members of JAAA escorted Ms. Homma around Jacksonville and St. Augustine, FL. Ms. Homma is in Jacksonville to learn more about the United States' decentralized system of government and whether some elements of this system might be adapted to circumstances in Japan.
  • JAAA members attended a gathering sponsored by the International Visitor Corps of Jacksonville (IVCJ) and Multi-Cultural Network at The Grape in St. Johns Town Center on July 14, 2006. The Friday event was attended by Mr. Arturo Celedon de Andraca from Chile. Mr. Celedon is the Metropolitan Region Coordinator for "All for Love and Service," a national volunteerism center in Santiago. The evening provided an opportunity for JAAA to discuss possible collaborations with IVCJ and Multi-Cultural Network.
