On July 13, 2006, JAAA members attended the Cummer Cafe Night Featuring "A New Narrative: Marden, Fitzpatrick, Stella, Warhol." The event, hosted by Up & Cummers, featured art making projects, demonstrating artists and live music. The Up & Cummers is a group of Jacksonville area young professionals between the ages of 25 to 45 years that promote The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens through cultural awareness, education and social activities.

JAAA Directors met with Maarten van de Guchte, the Cummer Museum Director, and discussed future collaborations on Asian art exhibits.
